So, the website is created... and so are the Facebook group and the Instagram account. But with people scattered around the world (read: Alex drilling some holes in Cape Town, and Jef spending time in D.C. and Geneva), it's not easy to keep things moving - but still we try.
A few updates and pieces of info:
- to avoid any copyright issues, we will from now on only use either our own pictures (still quite limited, for obvious reasons), or pictures that fall under the Creative Commons licenses or are complete copyright-free. If we forgot to credit you properly, please let us know.
- while originally we had in mind to contact as first external party one of the Geographic societies (Royal Geographic or National Geographic), we now think it's better to try and get a documentary maker on board first. Having them on board from the beginning should create more buy-in from other external partners, at least we hope so
- for work reasons, and due to the still slow start of the project, we now might be looking more at 2021 instead of 2020... more time, but pressure is still on
